Now that summer time is starting I want to tell you about my alternative to the plain water or tea. Normally I drink all year-long water with a bit of lemon juice or slices of lemon but only if I have enough of plain water. Since a couple of years I try to experiment, what else I can put into my water.
First I have to tell you, no I don´t go to the supermarket to buy an infused water, I go there to buy some fruits, vegetables and herbs. They don´t cost a fortune and they are healthy and you can also use them for your meals.
To make my favorite fruit infused water you have to decide on 1 combination and buy the ingredients or you experiment on your own. Back home wash your ingredients and cut them up in small pieces. Often I freeze some of the small pieces or fruits or I make ice cubes with them in it, so that I have fruit and refreshment in one for the summer time.
Now many of you will ask, why I show you the infused water and not a recipe or my fitness routine. I will tell you why because water is so important for your body and your health. It helps you to feel full, transports the vitamins and minerals to your cells and helps to clean your body from the bad stuff. If you drink to less your body will cut back on the energy the body needs and the energy your body has now too much will grow onto your hips.
Since the time I got to know all those details I try to drink between 2 – 3 Liters of water every day. Of those I drink a big glass before every meal because this reduces the calories by 30% you eat with this meal.
