Starting to run is nothing more than a mind game and the most important words are: “I will win”. If you have those words in your mind you can do almost anything you put your mind on. Even a half marathon after a break due to an injury.
For me walking/running was always the best chance to sort thru my thoughts and to find to myself. Walking is almost as natural to us as breathing is, you only know how hard it is to live without it when you can´t do it. Now imagine that running was the same for me and out of a sudden I was’t able to do it anymore due to an injury. Let´s be honest, it sucks big times and if I could turn time back I would tell myself to be super careful when running and not to injure myself.
Of course I can still do regular workouts and I enjoy them a lot but I´m missing something. I don´t feel complete and I can´t wait to go back to compete against myself, to show myself how far I can go, how strong my body is if my mind sticks to it. If you set tour mind to it: “You will win!”
I know I ran my first half marathon in 2016 – the Brooklyn half marathon, lucky me that I had my injury after that amazing day but right now it feels like it happened 10 years ago. My goal was to run a marathon next year for the first time but I´m sure that will not happen because my knee is still not 100%.
Now I´m looking for you! Yes, you!
I don´t care where you live or in which place you are going to run your marathon. I´m looking for people who want to set new goals and achieve something amazing together. Are you a person who wants to grow physically as well as mentally? Yes? Than let´s do it together and motivate each other to run that half marathon in 2017.
That half marathon is all about 21,1 kilometers of pure sweat, discipline, will power, endurance and worth every step of the way! #wearestrongtogether
Send me an E-Mail or comment on this post to let me know how we can be running buddies 🙂 I would love to have you all on my side and do it together. Let’s be strong together, help each other, motivate each other, share trainings tips and recipes and push each other.
